It seems there is a bit of a baby boom in my world! I have no issues with this, Aunty Em loves nothing more than a new bub to spoil and cuddle!
I had been working on this blanket for a bit. We didn’t know the sex of the bub and once I had finished it I was hoping it was a boy! The one danger of snagging a yarn bargain on ebay is that colours can be deceptive. This was supposed to have mauve in it, but is really just blue, grey & mint! So when my newest little ‘nephew’ arrived this week, I was glad he wasn’t a pink lover!!
I used some pinterest and google inspiration and didn’t use a pattern. Pretty simple really. Stocking stitch borders, and then 10 stitches knit, 10 stitches pearl until squares formed, then change knit to pearl and go again! It resulted in a beautifully textured blanket. And after being scared of circular needles for years, they are the best thing since sliced bread for baby blankets! No joining required!
Here’s hoping he gets plenty of use out of it!
